Fun Tips for Studying English at Home

Weekly Topic: Best way to study from home

Emily Chiasson

Hello everyone! みなさん、こんにちは!
Here are some of my tips for enjoying studying English at home!
I am currently studying Japanese and these methods helped me a lot as well.

-Watch English movies and TV shows
Find a TV show or movie that seems interesting to you and watch it in English! Depending on your level, you can watch it with subtitles in your own language, or if you are feeling more confident watch it with English subtitles! Another great tip is to repeat out loud the dialogue that you hear in the show, so you can get used to speaking natural English from home.

-Books
Another tips is reading books in English. Start off with easy books and try to read a little bit each day, even if its only 15 minutes. Gradually, you'll become accustomed to reading stories in English!

-Youtube
You can search almost anything you want on Youtube! For example, Youtube videos can be useful if you want to learn how to pronounce certain words. You can even slow down the video speed if you need to.

And lastly, of course Cafetalk is a great way to speak with native speakers from your home! This way you can have direct communication with a tutor who can help you with your specific needs and questions, or just practice daily conversation.

Good luck with studying and have a great week!
