Speaking of spring in Japan,
most people imagine cherry blossoms, “sakura”.
But before blooming cherry blossoms,
we Japanese feel the arrival of spring another flower, Japanese plum or apricot blossoms, “ume”.
And we have the other blossoms,
that is beach blossoms, “momo”.
Generally in Japan, “ume”, ”momo” and then ”sakura” bloom in turn.
There is a place that these three blossoms
are bloom all at once.
It’s Miharu town in Fukushima prefecture.
The town name “Miharu” means “three springs”.
How pretty name it is!!
Miharu is very famous for “Takizakura”,
old and stunning cherry blossoms.
