I've always loved learning and studying, and I had really good grades in school, but I never went to an amazing university, where I could really immerse myself in learning with curious people. I applied for the MSc in Applied Linguistics and Language Teaching at the prestigious Oxford University and I couldn't believe that I was accepted! I'm really proud that I made my dream a reality and I'm now studying at Oxford.
Although it is a distance masters, we had our induction week in person last week, and it was amazing!
Naturally, I was super nervous and worried that I wouldn't be good enough - I had a bit of 'imposter syndromme' - but it was a great week. I learned a lot, and met most of my coursemates who were living all around the world, and of course, I got to explore Oxford which is beautiful.
Even though I lived in London for many years, I had never been to Oxford before, and I really fell in love with it! It's a very sweet and friendly city, it's very residential, quiet, and beautiful, with lots of old buildings.
