Warm up your winter with my two favourite Turkish authors!
My genre choice is romance / philosophy
I loved reading the 40 Rules of Love by Elif Shafak, she has many titles under her name ; The Bastard of Istanbul , Flea palace and Black milk to name some.
She is a female author that takes one on a soulful journey, in Black milk she has written about the journey of motherhood and the impact of Turkish culture and customs, some of which other Asian countries follow a similiar method in preparing and transitioning to the motherhood phase.
With her book, your journey throught Turkey and its cultures while holding her inked words.
My second favourite Turkish author is Orhan Pamuk.
The Museum of Innocence - it is about a love story set in between 1970 and 1980 in Turkey.
