Curling Up with The Famous Five

Shuni

I started reading Enid Blyton's books when I was in 4th grade Primary School. Physically, I was curled up on the sofa. However, my mind was wandering travelling far, far away. I only returned to reality when Mom called us for lunch or dinner. There's no bargaining there. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to buy more books whilisht Enid Blyton's work alone exceeded the space on my little bookcase.

What I loved about the books were the outdoor scenes where I could feel nature as if I were there. I could hear the waves roar and the dog bark. I became addicted to the thrills. There couldn't have been a better way to understand the definition of "adventure".
