8. CMEW (Commonly Misspelled English Words)

Dani L.

Hi!

It has been a hot minute since I've done a CMEW video!  These videos will help you learn the correct spelling of many commonly misspelled English words.  If you're new to my column, you can click on my old videos titled "CMEW" to see which words you missed from before!

Click on "CC" for subtitles.  :)

Glossary -

"It has been a hot minute" (idiom) = It has been a long time

Mnemonic (n.) = Something (such as a word, a sentence or a song) that helps people remember something (such as a rule or a list of names)

Happy learning!

Yaay, Rhys! So glad you watch these, too. :) I was actually meaning to drop a message to your Skype today just to check in, ahha!

Hi Sako! Thank you for always leaving a comment!

    1. Yes, I love my chair! Also, you're right, I hadn't put the "Books and Coffee" cover on the throw cushions in the other video.

    2. You're totally right about "liaison" - it's from the French! As for "mnemonic," it's from the Greek language. :) English steals from everyone, lol!

    Hi Dani,
I love the cushion with the words "books and coffee"!

Actually, when I watched the previous video, I noticed that the design of the chair also appealed to me. In the previous video, there wasn't the cushion, right?

By the way, "liaison" and "mnemonic" were the new words for me. Are they from French words? They sound like French for me.
