Math, like English, is a language that we have to understand in order to become fluent. I have been teaching math concepts to students for over 4 years and have managed to make students with low interest in math very enthusiastic and confident about it. Why?
Because I teach the "why" when we do certain math concepts!
Many teachers have you memorize formulas and equations without ever explaining why, something that frustrated me during high school. It wasn't until I started tutoring kids in math that I realized the reason for these equations! I teach these reasons to my students to help math make better sense and so it's not just memorizing a concept!
For this class, I can assist with:
