First in the series is Idioms about HANDS, FINGERS and THUMBS
Description
To take your English to the level of near-native speaker you must learn to include idioms in your day to day convesation and general communication. Further, to understand the quirks of natural spoken and written English language, an understanding of common idioms and idiomatic phrases is essential, otherwise the language will totally confuse you.
There are so many idioms in use that, in order to learn them, the best way is to break them down into chunks of learning. Therefore, this lesson explains British idioms that relate to human body parts. Furthermore, we start by focussing in on idioms that reference hands, fingers and thumbs (Further body part idiom lessons will follow in the future).
The lesson starts with the idiom vocabulary explained through interactive flashcards and practice exercises in the Quizlet app, guided by me, of course. You can see below how it looks.

After that, we'll go into PowerPoint to review the idiom meanings and you'll start to practice and see the idioms in use. As you work through the exercises you'll come to the final phase, which is using the idioms for yourself using your own thoughts and ideas.
I hope you are interested in learning to use idioms with me.
Thank you!
