I’ll be introducing some popular Taiwanese superstitions, with vocabulary and grammar explanations. And feel free to share any superstitions from your country, too!

Description

Have you heard that in Taiwan, during the lunar seventh month, you shouldn’t go to the beach because you might get snatched by water ghosts?! ? Have you heard that in Malaysia, unmarried women shouldn’t sing in the kitchen, or they might end up marrying an older guy? Also, Spanish girls wear red underwear on New Year’s Eve for good luck?!

Let’s dive into Taiwanese superstitions with Teacher Myra, and you’re welcome to share yours as well! Learning the language and local culture together makes learning Chinese so much fun!

Teaching Method:

I aim to use full Chinese immersive teaching, with English and Japanese as support. The lesson will be adjusted based on the student’s level.
