Improve your essay-writing skills with excellent advice, feedback and practice for IELTS Writing Task 2! (Intermediate/Upper Int.). I have an IELTS teacher training certificate from IDP and would love to guide you through this in-depth and useful lesson.

Perfect for intermediate and advanced students wanting to improve their IELTS Task 2 essay-writing.
We'll start with a fun discussion question related to the topic of the essay, then we will dive into a specific essay type (either advantages and disadvantages, agree/disagree, discuss both views, positive or negative development or problems and solutions).
I will give you an excellent tip or technique to improve your essay-writing and we will analyse an IELTS essay question together - I'll help you gain a deeper understanding of the question type, its focus and key words.
We will do an activity to practise topic-specific vocabulary and paraphrasing, then we'll brainstorm ideas and examples for the essay, and decide how you should structure the essay.
We can look at and discuss a model essay, and I will give you lots of guidance and advice.
You can write part or all of your own essay for homework and we can check it and go through any corrections and suggestions in our next class.
