Description
In this session, we’ll be focusing on one of the most important skills for everyday conversations: small talk. Small talk is a way of making conversation about light, casual topics, and it’s essential for building connections with others, whether in social situations or in the workplace.
The great thing about small talk is that it can happen anywhere — online, at a party, in an elevator, or even while waiting in line at a coffee shop! We’ll explore common phrases, questions, and topics that will help you start and keep a conversation going smoothly.
By the end of today’s lesson, you’ll feel more confident using small talk to interact with people in various situations. We’ll practice questions like, "How’s the weather?", "What do you do for fun?", and other easy ways to keep conversations light and engaging.
Remember, there are no right or wrong answers in small talk — it’s all about being friendly, showing interest in the other person, and feeling comfortable in the conversation.
Let’s get started by talking about the basics of small talk and some common questions you can use with anyone, anytime!
