After reading, we will have a conversation around the issues. This is your chance to talk about aspects of Japanese culture, but in English!

Kame is easy to talk with. We talked about a movie on Netflix. Japanese people are quite familiar with the TV show of "Old Enough". This kind of TV program can't exist outside Japan, because there are so many kidnappers everywhere.

Thank you for the useful lesson! This time, we talk about 'Minister of loneliness' that was appointed to alleviate social and economic isolation in Japan with an article from news site. At first I read the article out loud and checked some new words, and then we talked about this issue. This was a good opportunity to converse Japanese long term social issue and compare with American circumstances.

楽しい気軽にできる話しやすい

森喜朗氏たちの性差別的に発言などを話題におしゃべりしました。私が若かったとき(今でも若いですが）多くの男性はそのような考えでした。だから、ちょっと言いすぎかなと思うぐらいです。しかし、ソーシャルメディアが発達し、コロナでたくさんの人が自宅待機している今、大きな問題になりましたね。男性も女性もその中間の人もそれぞれの個性をいかして過ごせる社会になるといいですね。そのうえ、相手に対してもっと寛容な世界であってほしいです。考えさせられました。
