課程介紹
Once something we're learning is tagged as "difficult", then we're more likely to view it that way for as long as we're trying to learn it. Game over. It's highly likely that our emotions will take over our regular and logical functioning (amygdala hijack), and we'll feel pushed away by the simple though of sitting down and studying.
How do we deal with negative thoughts and the subsequent negative emotions they unleash? It's all about being present, embracing the here and now, and allowing negative emotions to exist within ourselves, while giving them space and being curious. When our brain activity is no longer energizing negative thoughts, the emotions associated with them dissipate, vanish into thin air.
If we're really serious about learning anything, we should first take care of what's going on within ourselves in order to minimize frictions and mental barriers. I know for a fact that being able to push through in spite of what we tell ourselves takes tremendous amount of work. I want to help you detach yourselves from everything inside that's preventing you from making progress, and accept the nature of English for what it is. This way, you'll start to see every element of the language for what they are. They'll no longer be "difficult", "complicated", "hard to understand". They'll just be!
