Description
Reading out loud - HOP ON POP -
Hop on Pop is a 1963 children's picture book by Dr. Seuss, and contains several short poems about a variety of characters designed to introduce basic phonics concepts.
In this class you will learn out loud the picture book ‘Hop on PoP’ by using the repetition method. We will focus on pronunciation, rhyming, speed and more.
A PDF file is provided after the booking.
The books written by Dr. Seuss are especially adapted to learning English because they were written to teach children to read English, using limited, simple vocabulary. But the real joy in reading these books is the rhyming! Once you start reading, the text automatically becomes like a song. This way, you are forced to pronounce correctly, speak at the correct pace, and repeat vocabulary—everything you need to improve your spoken English!
What are the benefits of reading out loud?
- Reading Aloud Builds Vocabulary
When we read aloud, students encounter new words. They also learn to pronounce unfamiliar words, which isn’t something they’d necessarily learn while reading silently.
