Practise describing things in English
Description
This lesson offers you the opportunity to practise describing what you see in English with a native English speaker.
Before the lesson:
Choose one or two photographs or paintings from these open access websites: https://unsplash.com/ or https://www.nga.gov/open-access-images.html
During the lesson:
-
Describe what you see in the picture(s). For example, if you chose a picture of a horse, you could say what kind of animal it is, describe how big it is, what colour it is, where it is located, and what the surroundings are like.
-
I can help you with vocabulary, pronunciation and the correction of mistakes.
Note: If you are a beginner who knows some English words, you could choose simple pictures, such as an animal or house. If you are a higher level speaker, you could choose more complex pictures to describe, including paintings or photos of people engaged in activities such as work and sports. However, this lesson is not suitable for absolute beginners.
