RATE = Read - Assess - Tell - Exercise
Description
If you like to read, or like stories, this class is for you.
READ
Goal: Understand the story
Once I have confirmed your lesson request, I will send you a short story that you can read before class. But, don't worry. In case you can't get the time to read the story before coming to class, I will give you a few minutes to read it in class. At this stage, you are not required to read the story aloud.
ASSESS
Goal: Proof of understanding
Because I can't read minds, I will have to ask you a few questions related to the story to make sure that you understand the story. But, don't worry. I won't make it look like an interrogation. We'll go through the assessment in a fun way. Yay. And, if there are parts that you failed to grasp, here's the time to talk about it.
TELL
Goal: Demonstration of understanding
This will be your chance to tell me, in your own words, about the story. But, don't worry. You won't have to memorize the story. As long as you are not reading word by word, you may tell me the story while viewing the text.
EXERCISE
Goal: Improvement of understanding
At the end of class, I will give you homework for you to submit until our next class. But, don't worry. If you happened to be super busy during the week and thus couldn't complete your homework, you will still be welcome in the next class.
So, that's my self-invented RATE Method. The last thing you don't need to worry about is the story's level of difficulty. I have a pile of stories varying in all levels of English. Neither will I make you bored, nor will I cause you a headache.
READ

- Less than 1hours before lesson start time.→ 100% of price charged.
- Between 1-6hours before lesson start time.→ 50% of price charged.
- No-Show→ 100% of price charged.
