Are you planning on learning Russian?
Do you want to visit Russia or are planning a trip there?
Why not start by learning to read the Russian alphabet first!
The Russian language is notorious for being difficult, from its nouns having gender, verbs changing their endings in six different ways depending on the subject, having rolled tongue pronunciation, and so on, but it actually can be easier to learn in some ways compared to English for Japanese speakers.
For example…
There is no “a” or “the”!
There are no complicated grammar rules such as present perfect or past perfect!
As a general rule, the Russian alphabet has only one sound per character, similarly to Hiragana. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about them being pronounced differently depending on the spelling, unlike English! (Although there are a few exceptions.)
See, doesn’t this information make it seem a little less intimidating?
Every language has its own unique difficulties. Likewise, every language has similarities and commonalities as the language you speak. Why not discover these exciting findings in the Russian language as well?
If you already have textbooks and reference books, but have a lot of questions, please don’t hesitate to ask them. Instead of worrying about it on your own, let’s study and learn together♪
In the first lesson, in addition to introducing ourselves, I will also explain about the Russian alphabet, what Russia is like, my connections with Russia, and so on, while broadening your interest in Russia.
From the second lesson onwards, we will use textbooks available for purchase, and follow the content of your preferred textbook.
*I will ask students to choose textbook from the three that I recommend, and to purchase their textbook.
*If you already have your own textbook, please consult with me.
