People often mistakenly think that the only difference between British and American English is our accents - but ask any native or anyone who has lived or travelled to one of these countries and you will soon see that there are a vast number of differences, ranging from meaning to spelling to usage and more! :-)

Many students feel that they have learned British English in school in their country, but in years of experience I can safely say that I have only seen authentic British English taught in schools on very rare occassions.
