Let's create mini lessons to act out
Description
Introduce yourself, You can discuss your specific needs, as you will learn how to practice your listening and speak skills for British (pronunciation) English and discuss Real life issues and problem solving.
Topics of discussion may include a specific topic for discussion or general speaking, e.g Meeting the bank manager/clerk, opening a bank account, bank card lost/stolen requesting cash withdrawal, paying money into your bank account etc.
At the Pharmacy, asking for help?
The doctor's appointment, asking for a appointment, face to face and over the phone.
At school, Parent's evening, meeting the teacher and asking about homework, lunchtime meals and payments, reports and after school activities, clubs etc.
Plus other real life situations you may find yourself, e.g Making friends, greeting and talking to an audience, relationships that you may want to use your English speaking and listening skills for developing your vocabulary and comprehension, for e.g. Asking what's the time in public, where's the local post office, and other real life chat.
We can discuss or act out these speaking roles, enjoy role playing and take notes.
We can discuss (British culture) the dos and donts of making friends in public, natural body language and having public conversations face to face aswell as how to talk on telephone conversations. We can discuss a series of words used within British English and compare the meanings amongst other English speaking natives e.g US, Aussie too!
