My name is mina, and I work as a tutor. I love to study different languages, but I always wonder “if what I am saying is understandable...? or “if I am saying it correctly…?”
I tried to communicate, or in other words, output what I had learned, by creating many opportunities to talk with native speakers. At first, it took me a long time to translate and understand what they were saying in their native language, and then to translate what I wanted to say into the language I was using and speak it. At first I was slow and clumsy speaking it, but after about six months, my friends would tell me that my “reaction time has improved!” This is the
moment when I realized that output is effective.
I believe that I could improve by “listening and speaking” a lot. It also made me wish I had started outputting earlier on as a beginner....I thought I had to learn vocabulary first, but when it came to communicating with native speakers it seemed to me that I had to go back to scratch and start from there again. (Although this is my personal opinion...)
So
my lessons are aimed not at receiving a “qualification” but instead
to learn “real-life Korean conversation.” Even if you are a beginner, I will speak as much as you know and help you learn unfamiliar words each time. If you want to talk a certain way but don’t know the words, that’s fine too! Let’s learn one word at a time while talking casually with each other.
⁂My Lessons are...1) できる韓国語 (Dekiru Kankokugo) I & II ⇒ Conversation practice according to the textbook contents!
2) Free-talking ⇒ Chat with or without a specified theme!
3) Picture explanation in Korean ⇒ Practice speaking in Korean in a coherent manner!
4) Learning Korean through K-drama ⇒ Learn more realistic Korean!
