Hello everyone.
My name is Yuko.
I'm originally from Shizuoka, and I met my Italian husband through international correspondance and then from 1990 started living in a town near the alps in the Northern Italian province of Veneto. Until we got married, I communicated with my husband only in English, and didn't know any Italian when I arrived in Italy. I began learning Italian from zero, studying on my own while raising two children. At first, I used a book I had gotten from Japan, then I used a junior high school Italian textbook to study with. Because I had struggled with diffiuclt Italian grammar, I now know a good way how to study it. I'd like to make use of my experience and offer everyone lessons.
After my children were old enough, in response to demand I began teaching Japanese to Italian people from home, and I discoverd how much I enjoyed teaching. I've done interpretation and transaltion, but I feel the best job for me is teaching.
For those of you interested in Italy or interested in learning Italian, in order to speak you need to learn the fundamentals of grammar. My lessons are primarily aimed at beginners, but if you've already been studying beginner Italian grammar or are in the midst of your studies, you are also welcome to take my lessons. The more you understand Italian the more you enjoy studying it. Let's study together.
Every year in the city of Vicenza there is a Japanese festival sponsored by the Japanes cuture association and I teach origami to Italian people there.
Hobbies
Kitchen gardening, singing (I sing in a choral group in the town I live in)
Cooking(I like to try new recipes from Italian cookbooks)
