Annyeonhaseyo! I am Korean language tutor, SOSONG.
Please call me “Seo”!
I was never really interested in foreign languages up until around I entered high school.
In school, we could choose Japanese as a second foreign language subject. It was during this time that I became interested in hiragana, as I thought the characters were so cute.
That is why I ended up majoring in Japanese at university. I enjoyed studying Japanese so much, and I also found Japanese culture very interesting.
I wanted to work by using my passion I felt for the Japanese language. This led me to do a working holiday in Japan!
During this time, I suddenly got a job to teach Korean to Japanese students who were having trouble in South Korea.
I found this job very interesting! That is how I became a Korean language tutor.
Why are you learning Korean? Why do you like about the Korean language?
Learning a foreign language is very difficult! You may feel like quitting halfway through.
But, each time you do, try to remember why you are studying Korean and why you love the language so much!
