Hi, everyone!
My name is Magda. I'm a 26-year-old girly from Poland and I'm excited to start teaching on CafeTalk. In the sections below, you can learn a little bit about me and my experience.
My journey with teaching Polish started in 2019. I was a volunteer, giving one-on-one online lessons mainly on A1 level, teaching Polish from scratch, and some conversational lessons, helping my students overcome their fear of speaking Polish. Unfortunately, I had to pause my lessons because university became a bit too overwhelming! I came back strong and last summer, I taught offline for the first time. Again, the course was at a very beginner level, but teaching a group of people offline was a new experience for me.
My top priority is a nice atmosphere during our lessons. Don't be afraid to ask anything! Our very first lesson is more about getting to know each other, checking vibes and setting our goals. Just prepare some warm tea/coffee, sit comfortably and let's get started.
Times are tough, aren't they?
I came to CafeTalk to gather more experience in teaching and it would make me very happy if you decided to help me with it.
Last, but not least: Something about me, not related to work and study.
My biggest love for years is anything skincare related. I was struggling with my skin for years and now I can finally call it unproblematic. I love learning about new trends, ingredients, rounties and products. Just remember that too much is also not good. Sometimes just going back to the basics is all you may need. One of my recent hobbies is crocheting. I'm still a beginner but I find it very relaxing. It's incredible what you can create all by yourself! Some time ago I even made a plushie bunny. Another hobby, that is maybe a bit clichee, is reading classical literature. There's something about old books that just captivates me. In the last years, I've been quite busy with university and given up reading non-academic books. Nowadays, I am going back on track. Currently reading: "Dangerous Liaisons" by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos.
My most recent hobby is related to coding. In February, I became an HTML master. By the end of March, I turned into a CSS gigachad. Currently, I've been struggling with JavaScript. The struggle is real but I enjoy it enormously! Who knows, maybe it can develop into a career? If you want to see my silly "website", feel free to ask and I'll give you my Github.
