I am Doni!


Swiss-Born Linguist and Academic in London with a Passion for Japan and Global Cuisines

Born in Switzerland, I've since made London my home. I have a deep appreciation for Japan, drawn to its blend of tradition and modernity, its scenic beauty, and the welcoming nature of its people. This bond compels me to visit Japan annually, and I'm furthering my connection by taking Japanese courses. With a passion for languages, I'm eager to assist you on your language journey!
 
Having navigated through demanding academic courses, I earned my law degree in London with distinction and also completed a geopolitics master's degree with merit. These experiences not only shaped my knowledge but also gave me a deep appreciation for the joys and challenges of learning. Additionally, my Swiss upbringing in a multilingual environment gifted me fluency in French, English, German, and Spanish. Drawing from my rich academic background and love for languages, I'm eager to offer a supportive and rewarding learning experience to my students.
 
When I'm not engaged in these activities, you might find me hiking or experimenting with global cuisines.

EDUCATIONAL JOURNEY

I focus on teaching both French and English and have experience tutoring students worldwide, from places like Japan, the US, and Peru. My favorite aspect is connecting different cultures through language. While most of my tutoring happens on Skype, I understand the difficulties of learning a new language, and I'm committed to helping you navigate them.

TEACHING METHOD

We'll structure our lessons according to your individual needs:

  • If you're a beginner, we'll focus on building a strong foundation. 
  • For those at an intermediate level, we'll dive deeper into the intricacies of the language. 
  • Advanced students can expect to refine and polish their skills to achieve even greater proficiency.


Feedback will be a cornerstone of our time together, ensuring you understand areas of strength and where improvement can be made. Through hands-on activities and regular assessments, we'll track your progression, ensuring the teaching approach remains aligned with your evolving needs.
