Hello, everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Makananelo, and I am a dedicated and enthusiastic educator who is committed to helping students achieve their learning goals in English. I am a very easy person to talk to, friendly, and interested in building positive relationships with my students. I come from Lesotho, a small country located in southern Africa. It would be my pleasure to meet you and assist you in exploring the English language in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
I have a bachelor's degree in education with a major in English literature and African languages. Additionally, I have completed a Master of Arts degree in African languages. In February 2024, I obtained a 120-hour TEFL certificate with distinction.
I have been teaching English and Sesotho, the two official languages in my country, in a classroom setting for five years. My classes are designed to help you improve your speaking and writing skills. I focus on interactive speaking exercises and clear grammar explanations that suit your needs. My goal is to create a supportive and lively learning environment where you can participate in conversations and role-playing activities to boost your confidence and fluency. My grammar lessons are straightforward, with practical examples and exercises to help you apply rules in your speaking and writing. I pay special attention to your pronunciation and offer targeted practice to improve your speech clarity. Additionally, I offer English lessons for Specific Purposes (ESP), English Literature, and academic English. Let's work together and improve your English skills, regardless of whether you are a kid, a young learner, or an adult.
I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and picnicking. I also like traveling and meeting people from diverse backgrounds and different cultures. I look forward to meeting you as well. If you need a tutor who makes learning an enjoyable experience, then I am the perfect match for you.
