Nice to meet you, I am MinakoN.
I am a native Japanese speaker who also speaks Chinese, German and English.
【Background】
I attended schools in Japan until high school.
I was educated in Japan until high school. After studying Chinese in Harbin, China for two years, I transferred to the Chinese language department of Beijing University and graduated from there. After returning to Japan, I worked as a Chinese translator and accompanying interpreter in the International Department of a regional bank, as well as a Chinese language teacher for a company.
I have been working as a Chinese translator at home for a total of 10 years.
After getting married, I stayed in Germany for 20 years due to my family’s job relocation, and now I am back in Japan to support my parents.
In Germany, my life was centered on raising my children, but in between, I have taught introductory German to five students who were planning on working in Germany.
I helped them learn how to read the German alphabet, basic spelling and pronunciation rules, numbers, dates and times, days of the week, everyday greetings, how to ask for appointments, how to buy medicine, and other necessary conversational phrases in a limited amount of time.
Based on my experience and understanding gained from living in Germany for 20 years, I would like to offer introductory to beginner level lessons to ease your anxiety a little for anyone who is about to be transferred to Germany, family members who are going to accompany you to Germany, or for those who are already experiencing inconveniences in their current life in Germany.
I offer the following lessons.
-Introductory to elementary level Chinese

【Reviewing how to learn English for elementary and junior high school children who struggle with English】
I offer lessons for elementary and junior high school children who are struggling with English to review their learning methods.
English classes are now being adopted in elementary schools across the nation, but there are still learning disparities in learning English in rural cities, so I would like to help children who are anxious about this and help alleviate their concerns regarding English.
I want to help them identify what they don’t understand, give them confidence in overcoming these difficulties, and help them learn English on their own without difficulty.
My English is not at a native level, but I have used English a lot while rasign my children and have thought long and hard about efficient ways to read aloud and learn vocabulary.
I have also tutored several junior high school students who had struggled with English as a university student and was able to improve their scores from a 60 to a 90 or 100.
I can help busy parents with at-home English learning and basic English language skills for their children.
I will help students understand the textbooks they are using.
We will read aloud from the textbook, check vocabulary and pronunciation, explain grammar using example sentences, and repeatedly check the student’s understanding to help them overcome any struggles they are expericing with English.
If necessary, I may use supplementary materials such as question books, but the cost of these textbook will be included in the lesson fee.
