Levi Okata 講師的自我介紹
Hello, you can call me Levi! I am an English teacher from New Zealand who graduated with a university bachelor's degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Japanese from the University of Auckland. I live and teach in Shizuoka prefecture and am loving every moment of it.
I like making my lessons relevant to the student's wants and likes. Do you want to learn business-style English or casual-style English? How about English commonly used in the gaming world? Just tell me what you want and I will do my best to plan my teaching material around it.
I want to create a safe space where students can ask ANY question and not feel like they are being judged. "It is better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake".
If you are having trouble with something I also speak conversational-level Japanese and am happy to try and speak in Japanese.
What do I like?
Food ~ Takoyaki, custard, trifle, cheesecake, MEAT in capitals!
Games ~ Apex, League of Legends, Pokemon, MMORPGs
TV/Movies ~ Harry Potter, Pacific Rim, Anime.
What don't I like?
Tomato.
