I've taught English in Japan for eight years. I taught in junior high and high school for five years as the main English teacher with the help of seasonal assistant language teachers. During that time, I began to tutor English privately and have experience teaching TOEIC, EIKEN, and conversational English. I am also a top-rated translator on YAQS.co.jp and Freelancer.com.

My lessons focus on conversational fluency. Each lesson has a theme that we explore through drills, situational roleplay, and guided discussion. I adapt the difficulty to match your needs. For lower speakers, I focus on productive skills such as shorter conversations, vocabulary building, and language construction. For higher speakers, the focus shifts to include things such as strategies for organizing/guiding conversation, error self-identification/self-correction, humor, tact, and nuance.

My first goal is to help you improve your English, but my secondary aim is to have fun doing it. Lessons are as positive and open as you're willing to make them. I promise to do my best to help make studying English as fun and stress-free as possible.
