I am now working as a research assistant at a university in Indonesia. I have taught Japanese to Indonesians for 5 years and also taught Indonesian to Japanese for 2 years.
My teaching style is serious but fun. I like to encourage discussions and ask questions back to students so that students can apply the vocabulary and grammar they have learned. The teaching method that I use does not only use books, but involves various media such as Google, Google Street View, YouTube, and so on to make illustrations easier so that students can quickly understand.
My teaching and learning methods will ensure that students not only understand grammar and vocabulary, but also understand how to use them correctly, can speak, while also having in-depth insight and knowledge about Indonesia. During the teaching and learning process, I will combine three segments at once, divided into 20 minutes for each segment.
The first segment, I will teach grammar, reading, and questions and answers. I will use the official Indonesian language guidebook for foreign speakers learning Indonesian language.
The second segment is conversation and listening. This segment will use audio and video as well as discussions so that students can activate their speaking skills in Indonesian.
The third segment is culture and daily life in Indonesia. In this segment, I will discuss various kinds of native Indonesian culture, life and native habits of Indonesian people. This segment will use various other media including Google Street View to provide a clear picture of Indonesian life
