Hello! My name is Ellie and I am from the United States! I a native speaker of North American English. I am passionate about literature, writing, cooking, and philosophy. I also have meditation practice.
 
My experience is primarily with adults, professionals, and university students. I have a TEFL certificate and years of experience tutoring English, German, writing, and philosophy. I also have a bachelor's degree in German from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My students have been from around the world, and they wanted to learn English for countless reasons. They also each had unique strengths and weaknesses. Their learning was all about figuring out how to use those strengths.
 
My teaching style is very student centered! I truly believe that every student already has everything they need to be successful. It is my job to help you to figure out how to use your strengths for success. My lessons are all planned using the PPP method. I'll introduce you to the topic, practice the subject matter with you, and then give you a chance to show what you learned. If you find long explanations and lectures boring, I am the tutor for you! Right now, my lessons are open to teenagers and adults. You can start with the open conversation if you do not know where to start or sign up for whatever offering would be most helpful to you! Customize a plan that fits your level, time, and goals.
 
If you take a lesson with me, you will not just learn English. You will also learn how to learn English. My goal is to be a resource for you so that you can acheive success for yourself!
