Takenaka Noriko Tutor Profile

Hello, nice to meet you!

My name is Takenaka Noriko.

Once graduating from a music college in Japan, I started working for a Japanese orchestra. After working for that orchestra for five years, I moved to Vienna, Austria. I am currently working as a member of an orchestra in Vienna.

■I am interested in playing the violin. But where should I start?

It takes a lot of courage to start something new, no matter how old you are.

Do I have to buy an instrument?
How do I find an instructor?
It’s a good idea to start, but will I actually be able to stick with it?

Once you start thinking about it, it becomes too much of a hassle and you may feel like giving up.

However.

You can’t tell if it’s fun or not, or if you will continue it or not, unless you give it a try first.

If you are not sure if you can continue, you may want to try renting an instrument.
Instructors can be found on the Internet.
Why don’t you take the first step?

I would be more than glad to support you in that first step.

■I used to play the violin, and I want to start again, but...

Even for those of you who have experience playing the violin,

entering higher education
Having a new career
or experiencing childbirth, and childrearing

There are many people who once took violin lessons, but due these changes in their life, they might not have time to practice anymore.

Cafetalk’s lessons are especially recommended for such students.
With online lessons, you can take lessons at home, so there’s no need to take the train to attend a school. This way, it is ossible for you to take lessons for only an hour while your child is at kindergarten.

In addition, online lessons are also available at times when regular schools might be closed. You might even be able to take a lesson for half an hour after you get home from work!

When I was working in Japan, I myself wanted to study English.
However, I couldn’t attend any schools because I always finished work at night, so I struggled a lot.
That’s when I came across online English lessons. I remember how helpful it was to be able to take English lessons at home late at night with people from all over the world.

I also have to take care of my own young child at the moment, so I don’t have much time for myself, even though there are things I want to do! So I know exactly what it feels like to be a mom! lol

If you’re wondering, “I have a young child at home, but I wonder if I can still take a few lessons. I’ll have to interrupt the lesson if my child cries...” If you are one of those mothers, please feel free to contact me. I’m sure that I will be able to help you.

■I’m thinking of having my child learn to play the violin...

Maybe it’s because I’m a violinist myself, but I’m all for your child choosing the violin as a hobby!

When you practice playing the violin, your hands become more skillful, and you become better at using your own body. It also helps you develop a sense of rhythm, and through various artistic works, it helps you develop an aesthetic sense.

But that’s not all.

Repeated practice will help you to focus, as well as to be more patient.

In addition, since the violin is an instrument that is often played together with the piano and other instruments, communication skills can be acquired when playing together with others.

In this way, while learning the violin, children can simultaneously develop skills that are very important in life.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Interests

I love to travel and have visited more than 30 countries so far. My favorite destination is Croatia☆
I love sweets, and visiting cafes is one of my favorite activities.

Things I am not good at

I am not very good at driving. I got my driver’s license in Austria, but it was a traumatic experience because I had to learn on the road.
I am also not good at ironing. When I do it, I somehow end up with more wrinkles than before ironing the piece of clothing. I don’t know why this happens...

◇About my lessons

As my rehearsal time for the orchestra i have joined is irregular, my available lesson time may also fluctuate. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your understanding.
