Did you know the best way to improve your English is to make mistakes?
Hello! My name is Lauren (ロ-レン) and I am very excited to help you learn and practice English!
I understand that learning a language can be difficult and sometimes scary, I am learning Japanese and it is not easy! I want you to feel comfortable and confident with English, but also have fun. The best way to practice and improve your English is by speaking! That is why our lessons will be using English 100% of the time. The more English you hear and speak, the more you will learn and improve! Even just 15 minutes a week can help you improve your English!
I am prepared for conversation practice style lessons or more formal styles lessons. We can talk about topics like travel, hiking, hobbies or current events or have lessons to practice grammar, vocabulary and comprehension.

I am a native English speaker and TEFL qualified to teach english as a foreign language. My accent is neutral, which makes me very easy to understand. I was born in England, grew up in the USA and have traveled all over the world, including Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Currently I am living in Melbourne, Australia.
This is me at the summit of the Thorang-La Pass in Nepal.
I made it to the top of Fuji-san for the sunrise!
Can you spot me with my orange hat in New Zealand?
Lauren is enthusiastic about teaching and guides me very well. The explanation in Japanese is easy to understand, and she is very familiar with Japanese culture. A really great teacher, I will continue her lessons for a long time to come.
We talked about Japanese noodles.
I introduced Zarusoba, soba, tsukemen, and ramen.
She hadn’t eaten soba.
I found that soba is not so famous for foreigners and foreign countries than ramen.
However soba is one of the Japanese typical foods, I think that I introduce soba to foreigners.
