Hi, I'm Jay from Melbourne, Australia! I currently reside in Thailand where I have been teaching English for almost three years to local and international students from a range of different countries, ages, careers and English levels.

My teaching experience:

I first started teaching English at a local school in Northern Thailand for most of 2018 before opening a guesthouse & restaurant business with my father in Chiang Mai at the end of that year. During my spare time I had been teaching private English lessons to local people from various professional backgrounds, especially business people. 


My teaching style:

My approach to teaching students is based on certain core values and principles that I hold dear and abide by to make my lessons an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Some of the most important factors in my lessons are politeness, patience, adaptability and a general human approach to teaching, this ensures my students are able to retain the knowledge they acquire in my lessons.


My interests & hobbies:

I enjoy learning about different cultures, ways of life, history and new ideas. I have studied some anthropology(study of humans and society) and archaeology, so things related to people and past civilizations really interest me! 

My hobbies include travel, visiting natural and historic sites, exploring nature and Muay Thai.
