Hi, my name is Teacher Hannah and I am a passionate and enthusiastic English teacher from Kent in the United Kingdom. I live in a small village with my husband, 2-year-old son and our family cat.
Qualifications and Experience
I am a licensed teacher in the United Kingdom and hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. I have 5+ years' experience teaching English to students from Pre-K to age 16. I also hold a Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualification from TEFL UK and have worked extensively as an online teacher.
Teaching Style
I understand that learning a new language can feel scary, so I work hard to make my students feel comfortable and confident right from the first lesson. I have a warm, nurturing, and patient teaching style and help even the most nervous learners get talking in English.
I teach English immersively, which means that I talk to my students only in English right from the first lesson. This method helps children to build their understanding of spoken English very quickly. Please don't worry about whether your child will understand me- I use gesture, signs, pictures, videos, and objects to make it easy for even complete beginners to follow the lesson. I give learners the tools they need to speak in complete sentences from the very first session.
I teach in a Received Pronunciation (RP) British accent.

I use the popular 'Letters and Sounds' system used in British schools to teach phonics. I use a range of published worksheets and exercises alongside my own resources in lessons, and all lesson materials are provided as part of the lesson fee.
More About Me
When I'm not teaching my awesome students online, I love to play the violin and listen to music at home. I also like hiking in the beautiful English countryside surrounding my village. I have a young son and spend my weekends playing with him and doing arts and crafts together.
