Hello everyone,
My name is Jeffrey Zaman and I am from Chicago, USA. I have 3 years of online teaching experience. I have done private tutoring and virtual classroom teaching. I have experience with both children and adults. I have taught students in Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, Taiwan, Chile, Vietnam, Colombia, Japan, South Korea, Poland, Algeria, Palestine and Mexico. I am also an IELTS/TOEFL instructor. My dream is to teach in another country. I am also obtaining my masters in Education specializing in English and Science grades 6-12.
I am a very friendly, cheerful, patient, and funny person who strives to understand and meet the abilities, interests, and needs of each individual student that I teach. :) What I am most passionate about is making sure that the student's learning is meaningful and ensuring the student that it is ok for him or her to make mistakes so that they can see it more as an opportunity to grow in their language skills. I believe that it will better their confidence as language learners. I have studied foreign languages like French, Spanish and Italian before, so I understand that learning a language can be difficult, but at the same time a lot of fun. You can read books, watch shows with no subtitles, and talk to other native speakers. There are so many other ways that you can make this experience fun. Of course, I am here to help in any way that I can.
I am good at teaching at any English level from beginner to native. If you have any particular goals that you want to reach, please let me know and I will customize your lesson plan. :) We can also go at any pace that you choose. I have a diverse range of topics and materials for us to talk about in the event that you are stuck and are not sure where to go.
I have been to every continent except Antarctica and almost 40 countries. Traveling has definitely made me into a culturally sensitive person and has allowed me to understand other people and their cultures. It has especially helped me understand my own identity as an Indian-American.

- 6 months experience as an online English Tutor and English Teacher online for My Culture Connect in Taiwan.
- 2 months experience as an online English Tutor for Viet-Skype in Hanoi, Vietnam
