Lets learn English!!!!! 

Hello and thank you for visiting my page. 

My name is Richard and I live in Japan and I'm from Wales in the United Kingdom.

I have been teaching for 4 years in Japan and Great Britain. I currently teach English at Junior High School level and have worked and taught people of all ages from when I worked in an Eikaiwa school in Shizuoka.

My qualifications include.

TEFL/TESOL Certification

JLPT N5

BA Hons in Media and Animation

National Diploma in Media Production.

When working in Great Britain and before qualifying as a TEFL/TESOL I worked in various corporate organisations including Wales largest Bank. 

With my business classes, I will help you understand and teach you about small talk and greetings, getting involved in meetings, negotiations, writing Emails and correspondents, saying no politely, business idioms and conversation lessons based on teamwork and customer service. 

I can also teach about Behavioural job Interviews and behavioural job interview questions. Throughout these intermediate to advanced classes. I'll help you understand the meanings of these Interview questions and how to answer using the STAR technique.

If you would like to practice ready for the TOIEC test I can also help with that.

We can enjoy basic 121 conversations for those who just want to talk and tailor lessons to your needs. We look at pictures and describe the image or watch videos in English where I can help you understand the content. Or if you would like to read the news we can pick an article and read it sentence by sentence and understand what it means. 

I have a great understanding of English and can help you study grammar, listening, reading and writing.

I can teach children of all ages. I have taught children from the age of 2 to 16 basic English to Advanced. These lessons have been with up to 40 children and small classes of 5 to 6 and 1-2-1 classes. I have also helped students pass the Eiken examination by helping them with listening and reading comprehension.

Before moving to Japan I worked in the British financial service sector in Wales largest bank and I'm able to teach business English directly from a text book and through my own personal experience.

I can proofread documents and correct them if needed. Alongside tailoring lessons to your needs.

I moved to Japan two years and 7 months ago to follow my dreams and my hobbies including Martial Arts, Yoga, cooking, reading, history, new technologies and continuously educating myself in new areas.

I'm full of energy and enthusiasm. My teaching style will be to your needs. We can move slowly and learn English or we can just have fun and really enjoy a good conversation over tea.
