It might be slightly incorrect, but it’s still understandable...
This may be why native speakers don’t often point out “unnatural” expressions to us.
Why don't you take this opportunity to revise and learn to use more "natural Japanese"? ☺︎

「そちらの天気はどうですか?」「寒いです」...
Have you ever had this kind of conversation? This response, which I often hear during free-talk lessons, is actually one of the things that native Japanese speakers might find strange when they hear it.
「最近ちょっと太くなりました」「充実な一年にしたいです」「駅で偶然に友達に会いました」…
If you use an expression like this in a conversation, native speakers will be able to understand what you mean so you won’t have any issue conveying your thoughts. However, I’m sure that you would like to be able to speak more “natural expressions” used by native speakers.
If you want to improve your Japanese language skills from “Japanese that can be understood (even though it might be incorrect)“.
I look forward to seeing you in my seminar ☺︎
