Speak with Multiple Native Speakers
Do you feel like you can get through a one on one conversation with your teacher just fine, but can't get a word in when talking to a group of native speakers outside of class? Have you ever felt left out during one of these conversations? Or maybe you haven't had a chance to try talking to a group of native speakers and don't have the confidence to throw yourself into one of those situations just yet. If any of the above sound like you, this challenge is the perfect chance for you to gain the confidence to chit chat with native speakers.

I was born and raised in a small city about an hour away from Vancouver, British Columbia. I recently completed my university degree at the University of British Columbia with a major in Japanese Language and Culture. I also spent 1 year learning Japanese abroad in Osaka. I love to learn new languages (I have been learning Japanese for over 9 years and Mandarin for over 4 years) and meet people from new cultures. I also love to play chess, games, watch dramas and learn card magic. More

I was born in the United Kingdom and live in London. I have a degree in Japanese and have lived and studied in Nagoya during university. Nowadays, I work as an English tutor, teaching Japanese children living in London and I also study and teach salsa dance. My teaching style: I'm easy going and like to explain things in detail, with fun games to help you remember what you are learning. Also. as a British person, I can especially help those who want to improve their accents!
I have worked in recruitment and HR, so can really improve your business English and interview styles.

Feedback from test run participants
I can't believe I was able to have this experience being in Japan!! In the end, I was only able to cut into the conversation about twice, but I've sort of been putting my English studies on hold and this really motivated me to get back into it.

I was wondering why I have trouble talking to several native speakers even though I talk to people one on one every day. This was really good practice for me.
