Students often ask me about my favorite foods. Because my husband's family is from Laos and Thailand, we often cook Thai food at home. However, when we lived in Sapporo, we loved to make "soup curry," with plenty of vegetables and chicken. We used this curry paste from a jar, and it was very easy!
I can't find this curry paste in the U.S., even in Japanese supermarkets. My husband and I have tried many recipes to replicate the taste, but we can't find any recipe that matches the flavor of real Sapporo soup curry.
Have you ever made Sapporo soup curry at home? :)
See you soon,

Thank you, spitz! I will check Amazon Japan, and hopefully there are some companies that ship overseas. I didn't know that the "Bell" company was so local! Thank you for searching for it. :)

I lived in Hokkaido for a long time. Come to think of it, I've never seen those in other prefecture. "Bell food company" is well-known for making mutton barbecue sauce which is the local food in Hokkaido. I found it being sold online "Amazon in Japan". So I checked some, but I found some companies were not available for sending overseas. If I find its availability for sending overseas, I'll let you know.

Hi bebekirin, thanks for the message. If you find a good recipe, please let me know! None of the recipes I've tried taste like "real" Japanese soup curry. Next time I visit Japan, I think I will bring an extra suitcase to fill with jars of my favorite soup curry paste from Sapporo! :)
