Happy New Year Students!  It's 2021!!!!!

2020 was not the year I planned.  I planned to travel more, see more of my extended family, and celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary in grand style.  Then…..Covid-19 swept through the country and the future that I had planned was changed within weeks.

However, rather than be upset, I pivoted* my thinking.  Since I work at home, that part of my life did not change.  I started having my groceries delivered and decided it would be a great time to get things done in my home.  I’ve painted a bathroom, organized my books, organized and changed my office layout, and practiced the piano much more. 

The biggest difference now at being home was that my husband and my son were also staying at home.  My husband’s job decided all of the corporate people should work from home.  My son’s college decided to have class online on Zoom.  So instead of myself and my 3 dogs at home all day, we added my husband and my son.  My dogs absolutely loved having more people at home.  If I was busy, they would check in with the other 2 adults at home.   

Although 2020 was not the year that I thought it would be, it was still a great year.  I have my health and my family and my students!  I think I learned those are the most important things that I need.
