Hello everyone!
It's already mid-February! How's the new year treating you so far?
I understand we're still in this pandemic and the fact that no one knows when this will be over certainly takes a toll on all of us. Hopefully, we'll be able to see some silver lining soon!
Today, I'm going to share with you some of my favourite snacks when I was a child. For those who might not know me, I was born in Taiwan and I was there until 10 before our family moved to Canada. When I was in Taiwan, there were a few snacks that I really enjoyed. Here they are.
1. 乖乖 (Kuai Kuai Corn Snacks)
This started a long time ago in Taiwan so if you ask any Taiwanese person, they would know right away. You can see them on almost every shelf in supermarkets and convenience stores. I recommend this five-spice flavour but there are other flavours such as the coconut flavour.
2. 寶咔咔 (Patata Corn Snacks)
This is also one of my all-time favourites (I still eat them now). They're nice to have when you're watching TV or a movie. Oh, and for beer lovers, yes they go well with beer too!
3. 點心麵 (OYATSU BABYSTAR Snack Noodle)
I believe a lot of you have seen this snack before and have probably tried them yourselves. Yes, it's the Babystar snack noodles. I still remember that as kids, we would all grab a pack whether we were playing video games or after we came home from school. If you've never tried this, you're missing out!
There you have it everyone. Today, I've only shared three of my favourite snacks.
As adults, sometimes we're so busy with what's happening around us and we forget to slow down our steps a bit. When you're trying to catch a breather, it's always great to go back to what you used to love as a child (in this case, snacks) and while enjoying the snacks, you can also think about the good old times. So next time when you feel you're overly swamped, try this!
