My Trip to Japan

Kevin O.

I took this photo at the Vancouver airport. I arrived here from my city, Toronto. Notice the beautiful mountains in the background. Unfortunately, my flight was delayed by four hours...

Yesterday I arrived in Narita from Vancouver, and started the (very, very) long process of entering Japan.

I was very excited to finally see this view after 10 hours.

When I entered Narita airport, I think I went through ten steps. I had to give paperwork, wait, give more paperwork, do another COVID-19 test, more paperwork, install apps, go through customs and immigration, meet my hired driver... And I had to do all of this using a mixture of English and my (very poor) Japanese.

It took forever, but it was worth it. I was able to finally meet my wife again after more than 2 years (!!!), and enjoyed some Japanese food. Of course, I was SO tired, so I slept like a baby when we arrived at our Airbnb.

To celebrate this, I also added a new coupon, so please feel free to take my class! (Of course, my eschedule has also changed a bit.)

But in the end, I'm just extremely happy to finally be here. Time to enjoy quarantine!
