When two people love each other and they can't make that work, that's the real tragedy.”

Plot: On their fifth wedding anniversary, writing teacher Nick Dunne returns home to find his wife, Amy, missing. Her disappearance receives press coverage, as Amy was the inspiration for her parents' popular Amazing Amy children's books. Detective Rhonda Boney finds poorly concealed evidence of a struggle in the house. The media suspect Nick due to his apathy towards Amy's disappearance.

“Gone Girl” is the story of an insincere love. It is a psychological thriller with horror hints. Nothing is what it seems in the life of the pair of main protagonists. Who is the victim? Who is the executioner? The roles mix and perhaps the characters are both executioners and victims of a society where the appearance and status are the main source of esteem and success.

Mad accusations, deceptions, lies, manipulations and revenge. This is Gone Girl. Believe a lie perfectly manufactured. A story that follows a precise script, which is planned down to the smallest details. However, no plan is perfect. Something goes wrong or you meet the wrong people, as happens to the protagonist. Then a new lie has to be created. A new play. A new script to recipe in this world that is nothing but a stage.

Believe a lie until the end.

The truth is gone.

I recommend the film to anyone who loves the thriller genre, if you want to watch a mysterious movie that plays with your mind, then it’s the movie for you. If you want to be thrilled, surprised and captivated then it’s the movie for you.
