Smiling in The Snow

Weekly Topic: Name one thing that makes you smile no matter what.

Olimpia

I always smile when I see snow. I was raised in northern areas that had long snowy winters and some of my favorite memories are of snowy winter days. As a child, I spent many hours playing in the snow and perhaps that is why as an adult I can never frown at snow.

The snow makes the world feel quiet and the the streets look magical. I love the cold feeling of snowflakes on my nose and it's fresh smell. I enjoy the way snow flakes sit on my hair and turn my hair white.

When it snows, I cuddle up with hot chocolate beside the window and write in my journal or work on my school papers. I feel grateful for snow.

I would love to hear your comments about the one thing that always makes you smile!
