Yishu H.

There's an English phrase to descirbe winning easily. If we say someone will 'win hands down' it means they'll win very easily or decisively.

Let’s have some examples of this expression, shall we?

  • After all the training you've done, I'm sure you'll win the race hands down!
  • The competition was tough, but in the end, you won the chess tournament hands down.
  • We've prepared very well, so we should win the match hands down.

Today, we learned about the expression 'win hands down', which means to win easily. But the result is not always goes our way. What can we say instead? When things didn't go as we wished or planned, we can say 'you win some, you lose some.'

Did you remember the win-related phrases today? I am Yishu. See you soon and bye for now!
