Idioms using colours

Thirzah

It is often difficult to understand Idioms and to use them correctly. Idioms are a great way to communicate and can help you to sound more native.

Colours are often used in idioms because they can be very symbolic and represent emotions among other things.

Book a conversational lesson with me to discuss the meaning of different colours in your native culture.

Maybe you have heard this idiom or you have a similar one in your native language.

Could you explain what it means or give an example from your own experience?
What about these could you have matched these idioms with their meanings without me providing the answers?

Idioms are very rarely black and white meaning that they are difficult to learn without the help of a native English teacher. Using the answers above can you make sentences with the idioms below?

How did you do? Would you like to share your answers with me in a lesson?
If so please remember that these lessons are for upper intermediate or advanced level adult students only.
