It was on a Sunday afternoon in December. I had just finished writing a class summary, when a notification appeared on my computer. It was a feedback report from one of my students for a lesson we had earlier that day. In her report she said, “Shelly has very clear pronunciation and answered my questions with patience.” I was so happy to know that she was pleased with the lesson.
Students really appreciate being in classes where the atmosphere is positive, where they feel free to ask questions, and where their mistakes are met with corrections that are given in a tactful manner. I aim to create learning environments such as these so that my students may know I am there to help them achieve their goals.
