- Japan has more than 50,000 people who are over 100 years old.(Nikkei.com)
- Japan has one of the lowest gun related homicides in the world. (Naver
- Japanese trains are among the world’s most punctual. Their average delay is 18 seconds. (Wiki)
- In Japan there are more pets than children. (Naver
- Japan’s birth rate is so low that adult diapers are sold more than baby diapers. (Newsphere)
Did you know that Japan's birth rate is so low that adult diapers are sold more than baby diapers?"

Yuko.S san, you have a good point there. The prime minister has decided to aim for a policy to increase the number of day-care centers in 5 years, so hopefully it will be easier for Japanese women to balance their careers and motherhood.

That's amazing!! I read article that "Number of children in Japan at record low" to study English, the other day!! Recently, I read English news or article. Anyway, I get married but I don' have a child. I have to think about declining birthrate and aging of the population for future. In my opinion, There are too few day-care center for children in Japan...
