This was a very interesting introduction to traditional Japanese music. Fukumaru-sensei is an expert in the area and so was able to explain the origins of the instruments as well as other aspects of Japanese music. Highly recommended for anyone interested in traditional Japanese music.

ユニークな和楽器レッスンに惹かれリクエストしました。レッスンの初めにメニューから気分に合った曲を選べます。私は古典に出てくるのにあまり知らない琵琶を選びました。先生がライブで弾いてくれるのかと勘違いしていましたが、一緒にYouTubeを見ながらの鑑賞でした。琵琶の種類や歴史についての説明の後だったので、より興味深く聴くことができました。素人的に疑問に思ったことも質問し易く、豆知識も増え、和楽器テーマでお話できるのは、おもしろくて心豊かになれる時間だと思いました。リクエストからレッスン、レビューまでずっといい雰囲気が続いていました。

ずっと海外在住で日本に本帰国後、ショッピングセンターで雅楽の生演奏に魅了されました。以前から雅楽は気になっていましたが実際に本物を聴くとその音霊に癒されます。その癒しから雅楽は純正律なのかと思い先生に伺ったところ「ピタゴラス音律」だと言うことを教わりました。もっと多くの人に日本の貴重な文化に触れてもらいたいと強く感じました。
