How to write like a Professor

This lesson is about making your own English-language writing better.  I am a published writer and researcher, and I have been a university professor for more than twenty years.  I have worked with all kinds of students on improving their writing and helping them to sound more academic.

You bring a piece of your own writing (at least 300 words is good, longer is fine), and we will go over it together, line by line.  I will help to make that particular piece of writing better, but more importantly, we will use the writing we're focusing on as a way to help you to understand how to be a better academic writer in everything you write.

After I confirm your request, all you need is to have your text handy to send when we start the lesson.  By the end of the lesson, you'll have some tips for writing more academically that you can carry with you to the rest of your writing career.

This lesson is open to, and useful for, English speakers of all levels (including native!).  If you are able to write a few paragraphs in English, then we can help you you to do this better.
